Welcome to Lindsborg Town Talk, your source for news about upcoming events and activities in Lindsborg.

We start with a public safety announcement: school has started again, so please be extra careful when driving and keep an eye open for the little ones who are walking to school and back.

If you love fresh, juicy Colorado peaches, you’re in luck! The Methodist Church on south Main in Lindsborg is selling Colorado peaches today from 1-3 pm in the church parking lot.

Speaking of fresh fruit, be sure to check out the Farmer’s Market in the back of the Old Blacksmith shop on Main Street in Lindsborg. The Lindsborg Farmer’s Market has new hours, and they are now open from 1-4pm on Wednesdays, and from 8 till 5 on Saturdays. They have a nice selection of local produce, meat, eggs, honey and more!

The Red Barn Studio has announced that Sonja Brase-Martin is the artist-in-residence through August 29th. Tomorrow, Sunday August 24th, there will be a reception at the Red Barn from 2-4pm. In addition, Sonja will be holding a pair of drawing workshops during her stay; contact the Red Barn Studio for details.

And Bethany Home is continuing its tradition of hosting works by local artists. During the month of August, paintings by Gloria Zachgo will be on display for your viewing pleasure.

Finally, tonight’s the night of the big street dance in downtown Lindsborg. Lindsborg Live is hosting King Midas and the Mufflers for your listening and dancing pleasure. But that’s not all!

Main street will be blocked off starting at 5pm. Local restaurants are serving special street dance menus. Then, at 6, the children’s tricycle and wagon decorating begins. At 6:30, there will be a parade featuring the freshly decorated wagons and trikes. Around 8pm, King Midas and the Mufflers take the stage and will perform until 11pm.

That’s tonight, at the Lindsborg Street Dance. Food and fun starts at 6pm and the dance runs from 8 until 11pm. The whole evening should be lots of fun! Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a cool evening in downtown Lindsborg.
