If you love fresh, juicy Colorado peaches, you’re in luck! The Methodist Church on south Main in Lindsborg is selling Colorado peaches today from 1-3 pm in the church parking lot. They will also be available next Saturday, August 23rd, same time, same location.

Imagine being on a boat that was attacked and sunk by enemy fire. Further imagine that you then had to spend a month as a prisoner of war before being released! Well, this really happened to the Danielson family, back in 1941. This Sunday you’re invited to hear a presentation about their experiences, starting at 1pm at the Messiah Church in Lindsborg.

The Red Barn Studio has announced that Sonja Brase-Martin will be the artist-in-residence from August 18th through 29th. On August 24th, there will be a reception at the Red Barn from 2-4pm. In addition, Sonja will be holding a pair of drawing workshops during her stay; contact the Red Barn Studio for details.

And Bethany Home is continuing its tradition of hosting works by local artists. During the month of August, paintings by Gloria Zachgo will be on display for your viewing pleasure.

Finally, it’s only one week till the Lindsborg Street Dance on August 23rd. Lindsborg Live hosts King Midas and the Mufflers for a street dance in downtown Lindsborg. Food and fun starts at 5pm and the dance runs from 8 until 11pm. At 6pm, there is a children’s tricycle and wagon decorating activity followed by a parade of the decorated vehicles. The whole evening should be lots of fun! Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a cool evening in downtown Lindsborg.
