A blog about Lindsborg

Welcome to Lindsborg Town Talk, your source for news about upcoming events and activities in Lindsborg.

If you’re hearing this report live on the radio, you still have time to head down to the Trinity United Methodist church on south Main street in Lindsborg. Today, from 9am until 11am, the Lindsborg Hospital Auxillary is holding their annual fundraiser. You can enjoy a Valentine coffee and shop at the bake and craft sale, all for a good cause! Word is that this is one of the best places to sample local home-made baked goods that you won’t find for sale in any retail establishment.

As we mentioned last time, local favorite Eric Abraham is spending an extended visit as the Artist in Residence at the Red Barn Studio on south Main street in Lindsborg. Tonight, starting at 7pm, the public is invited to a reception in his honor, to be held at the Red Barn Studio.

Speaking of art, Roger Jamison is a Birger Sandzen Gallery guest artist who is presenting Works in Clay, featuring recent and new works. Roger is a Bethany College graduate who now resides in Juliette, Georgia.
A reception for the artist will be this Sunday, February 10, from 2 to 4 p.m at the Birger Sandzen Gallery in Lindsborg.

A wonderful winter tradition in Lindsborg is the annual Lindsborg Arts Council Chocolate Lover’s Affair. Now in its 14th year, the Chocolate Lover’s Affair is a wonderful opportunity to sample delicious chocolate delights! This year, the event will be held next Saturday, February 16th, from 6 to 8pm at the Birger Sandzen Gallery in Lindsborg. Admission is 5$ for Lindsborg Arts Council and Sandzen members; 7$ for the general public. In addition to the lovely chocolate treats, the Artful Tables display continues to be a part of this event. Advance tickets may be purchased by calling 785-227 3032.
