A blog about Lindsborg

Hello everyone,

Tomorrow night, Saturday the 17th of February, there will be a taste of Lindsborg, including both food and music, at the Small World Gallery, located in downtown Lindsborg. Bethany College senior and classical guitarist Colton Le May will perform a wide range of music as the gallery offers a buffet that includes sandwiches from the Ol’ Stuga, sides from the Butcher Baker and Candlestick Maker and dessert from the Courtyard Kafe. This is an informal event beginning at 6:30pm and lasting till the food or people are gone, whicever comes first. Free will donations will be accepted.

The Red Barn Studio’s Artist in Residence for February is the colorful, energetic Eric Abraham. He will be in residence through February 28th. On Saturday, February 24th, Eric will teach a three-dimensional Paper Sculpture Workshop from 9am to 4pm. During the workshop participants will view slides, a demonstration and then create one sculpture. The price ranges from 30 to 60 dollars; contact the Red Barn Studio at 227-2217 for full details; advance registration is required.

The annual community Pancake Day, sponsored by the Lindsborg Kiwanis club, is scheduled for February 24th from 7am until 2pm. As usual, the pancakes will be served in the education hall, lower level, of the Bethany Lutheran Church on Main St. Advance tickets are 3.50 and 4$ at the door.

And while the Lindsborg Update typically focuses on events in Lindsborg, it’s worth reminding all of our listeners that the legendary pianist George Winston will be performing at the Stiefel Theater in Salina on February 22nd at 7:30 pm.
