A blog about Lindsborg

Welcome to Lindsborg Town Talk, your source for news about upcoming events and activities in Lindsborg.

Bethany College Theater opened its season this weekend with performances of the comedic drama “The Greatest Swing in Baseball.” The final performance is this evening, Saturday November 1st, at the Burnett Center, starting at 7:30pm. Tickets are 7$ at the door for general admission; Bethany college faculty, staff and students may attend without charge.

On Thursday, November 6th, the Bethany College Choir will perform a variety of selections as part of its first concert of the year. The event is free and open to the public and starts at 7:30pm in Presser Hall.

Congratulations are in order for 2 Lindsborg art institutions.

First, cheers to the Red Barn Studio for being selected as one of 24 finalists in the 8 Art Wonders of Kansas competition. Though not one of the 8 winners, the inclusion of the Red Barn in the final list of 24 is recognition of its significance in the Kansas art world.

And a special congratulations goes out to everyone associated with the Birger Sandzen Gallery; it was selected as one of the 8 Art Wonders of Kansas. As a visitor to the gallery for over 40 years, it’s no surprise that they’re received this well-deserved recognition.

Through November 9th, Jerry Buhari continues as the Artist-in-Residence at the Red Barn Studio. Jerry has been focused on painting during his stay.

And don’t forget, Tuesday is election day. This is the time to make your voice heard, no matter which candidates or issues you do or don’t support. Voting is part of what makes America America!

Finally, today is a day most of us look forward to: tonight it’s time to Fall Back, and reset your clocks to standard time.

till next time, this is Mike Rodriquez with Lindsborg Town Talk.
